When boosts end and your server drops below a level, Discord lets you keep the perks for 72 hours. After that the perks pause, but nothing is deleted: extra emojis and your banner come back as soon as the level does. The one thing you can lose for good is a custom invite link.
The first 72 hours
Everything keeps working as before. If the server gets enough boosts again within those 72 hours, nobody will notice the level dropped.
After 72 hours

When do bought boosts end?
Boosts last as long as the Nitro on the accounts that give them, so a 1 month pack from us runs 25 to 30 days. If boosts end before the time you paid for, we replace them. Removing a boosting account yourself, or letting an anti-raid bot kick one, isn't covered. The details are in section 3 of our Terms.
How to keep your level
- Order your next pack before the current one runs out, or within 72 hours of the level dropping.
- Get a boost or two more than the level needs, so one early drop doesn't cost you the level.
- Allow the boosting accounts in your anti-raid bot so it doesn't kick them.
- Pick a 3 month pack if you want to renew less often. See 1 month vs 3 month boosts.
FAQ
Will I lose my emojis when boosts expire?
No. They stay on the server and work again once you're back at the level.
Will I lose my custom invite link?
Only if the server stays below Level 3 for more than 30 days. After that the link is released and another server can claim it.
How many boosts does each level need?
2 for Level 1, 7 for Level 2 and 14 for Level 3. See every level and its perks.
